Chapter 11: Tea tends to the Yami's wounds

Tea and Joey walking back to the castle, with Yami on the horse's back. Back in the interior of den, with Tea pouring hot water out of Mrs Mutou. She soaks a rag in the water, then turns to him who is licking his wounds.

"Here now." Tea continued. "Oh, don't do that."

Yami growls at her as she tries to clean the wound with her rag.

"Just...hold still." Tea said.

She touches the rag to the wound and he roars in pain. The objects, who have been watching, jump back into hiding from the outburst.

"That hurts!" Yami yelled.

Tea in counterpoint. "If you'd hold still, it wouldn't hurt as much." Tea replied.

"Well if you hadn't run away, this wouldn't have happened!" he explained.

"Well if you hadn't frightened me, I wouldn't have run away!" she told him.

Yami opened his mouth to respond, but has to stop and think of a good line. "Well you shouldn't have been in the West Wing!" he said.

"Well you should learn to control your temper!" she replied.

Yami raises his hand to bring out another point, but finds he has none, so he bows his head down again. The objects emerge from their hiding as Tea has conquered the ferocious temper of his. She moves the rag closer to the wound.

"Now, hold still." Tea continued. "This may sting a little."

Yami gives a surprised grunt, then grits his teeth
as the rag is applied. She speaks tenderly.

"By the way, thank you, for saving my life." Tea said.

He opened his eyes, looking surprised.

Yami also very tenderly. "You're welcome." He responded.

The looking on with interest. Meanwhile in Yami Marik's tavern, which is empty except for Yami Marik, Marik and Yami Bakura who are all sitting at a table.

"I don't usually leave the asylum in the middle of the night," he began, "but they said you'd make it worth my while."

Yami Marik pulls out a sack of gold and tosses it in front of him. Yami Bakura takes out a piece, scrapes it on his chin and continues.

"Aah, I'm listening." He replied.

"It's like this." Yami Marik murmured. "I've got my heart set on marrying Tea, but she needs a little persuasion."

Marik butted in. "Turned him down flat!" he squealed.

Yami Marik slammed a beer mug down on Marik's head and turned back to Yami Bakura. "Everyone knows her father's a lunatic. He was in here tonight raving about a beast in a castle..." he told him.

Yami Bakura shook his head. "Arthur is harmless."

"The point is, Tea would do anything to keep him from being locked up." Yami Marik told him.

"Yeah, even marry him!" Marik exclaimed.

Yami Marik gives him another threatening look, and he ducks back under the mug.

"So you want me to throw her father in the asylum unless she agrees to marry you?" They both nod in agreement. "Oh, that is despicable." An evil smile suddenly grew on his face. "I love it!"

Back in Tea's cottage. Arthur is packing to leave. "If no one will help me, then I'll go back alone." he asked himself. "I don't care what it takes. I'll find that castle and somehow I'll get her out of there."

Arthur leaves on his journey. Seconds later, Yami Marik and Marik arrive with Yami Bakura. They enter the house looking for one of the residents.

"Tea! Arthur!" he called them.

"Oh, well, I guess it's not going to work after all." He replied.

Yami Marik grabbed him by the neck and walks outside.

"They have to come back sometime, and when they do, we'll be ready for them." He said. Yami Marik dropped Marik into a snowbank by the porch. "Marik, don't move from that spot until Tea and her father come home."

"But, but... aww, nuts!" Marik exclaimed.

He pounds the side of the house and a pile of snow falls on his head.

It's a short chapter, I'll write the next one soon.
