Chapter 14: Tier's deal

Tier swims over to Ichigo, puts her hand around the mermaid's waist.

“Now, this is the deal.” Tier starts to explain to Ichigo while they swam over to the table. “I would make for you a potion that would turn you into a human in three days. Get that? Three days. Now this is very important.”

She shows Ichigo a hologram of three sun base on the hologram of the earth.

“Before the sun will set on the third day, you need to get your beloved prince to fall in love with you. That would be for him to kiss you.” Tier said.

A hologram of a crown and a heart shimmers.

“Not only a kiss- the kiss of true love.” Tier said.

Renji and Chad watches as Tier is showing Ichigo images in the cauldron. Ichigo sees an image of herself running as a human with a smile.

“If he is kissing you before the sun would set on the third day, you will be a human for internaty.” Tier said.

The image changes now to Ichigo as a mermaid again and she slips into the cauldron.

“If he isn’t, you will turn back into a mermaid, and - you belong to me.” Tier said in a dark tone.

“Don’t do it, Ichigo!” Renji yelled.

Without any warning, Ulquiorra and Grimmjow wrap themselves around Renji and Chad.

“Do we have ourselves a deal?” Tier asked Ichigo.

Ichigo thinks for a moment.

“If I do become human, I wouldn’t see my dad and sisters again.” She said.

“That is true…” Tier agreed in fake shock. “But you got your man.” She chuckled fiendishly. “Life isn’t so full of difficult choices, in nit?” She chuckled again and realized something.

“Oh- and another thing.” Tier said. “We didn’t talk about the payment. You couldn’t have something for nothing, you know.”

Ichigo panics a bit.

“I don’t have any…” She starts to say.

She had been cut off by Tier.

“I don’t need to ask that much. Only a token, really, a trifle.” Tier responded. “You will not miss it. What do I want from you is… your voice.”

Ichigo puts her hand to her throat.

“My voice?” She asked nervously.

“You get it, sweetheart.” Tier replied. “You won’t talk, sing, zip.” She then popped her lip after "zip".

Ichigo looks at her.

“Without my voice, how would I…” She asked, is cut off again.

“You got your looks! Your beautiful face! Don’t you ever estimate importance of body language! Ha!” Tier responded.

She starts to shake her butt and starts to sing again.

“The men up there don't like a lot of…Blabber.
They think someone who gossips is a bore.
Yes on land it's much preferred.
If no one says a word.
And after all kid what is idle blabber for?
Come on they're not all that impress with.
Conversation.”

Tier takes out lots of jars and bottles of various things. They crash into the cauldron unleashing a smoky substance.

“True gentlemen avoid it when they can.
But they dote and swoon and fawn.
On the people who're withdrawn.
It's they who hold their tongue
that get the men.”

Tier puts the final ingredients in the cauldron.

“Come on you poor unfortunate soul,
Go ahead! Make your choice!
I'm a very busy woman.
And I haven’t got all day.”

A vision of Toshiro’s face appears smiling at Ichigo. Ichigo leans closer to him and then Tier's face comes through.

“It won't cost much.
Just your voice!
You poor unfortunate soul.
It's sad, but true.”

Tier takes Ichigo’s shoulders and made a glowing gold contract appear.

“If you want to cross a bridge my sweet.
You've got to pay the toll.
Take a gulp and take a breath.
And go ahead and sign the scroll.”

Tier grins evilly and turns Ulquiorra and Grimmjow also has an evil grin.

“Ulquiorra, Grimmjow, now I have her.” She whispered to her eels.

Tier continues singing.

“The boss is on a roll.”

She twills and hovers above Ichigo don’t know what’s going on.

“These poor.”

Ichigo thinks on how her father would take everything away from her and how happy she will be on land in Toshiro’s arms.

“Unfortunate.”

Ichigo takes the pen and signs her name on the contract, looking away as she did so. Renji and Chad can only watch in disbelief.

“Souls.”

Tier takes the contract and smiled triumphantly. She waves her hands over the cauldron.

“Beluga sevruga.
Come winds of the Caspian Sea.
Larengix glaucitis.
Et max laryngitis.
La voce to me.”

Lights swilling around them. Ichigo looks around and suddenly wonders if she did the right choice. Tier made green, smoky hands appear.

“Now . . . sing!” She ordered, darkly.

Tier looks at Ichigo with an insane look in her eyes and an evil toothy grin.

Ichigo opens her mouth and starts to sing her song. Her voice echoed harmoniously, at her throat has a golden light.

“Continue singing!” Tier exclaimed.

One phantom hand holds Ichigo is still singing while the other went into her mouth and down her throat and takes a gold glowing sphere out. It was Ichigo’s voice! Even though it was captured, Ichigo’s voice still sang. She then claps her hand over her throat as she looks on with shock on her face. The phantom hands take the sphere to Tier as it goes into her necklace as she smiled fiendishly.

Tier starts to laugh wickedly as Ichigo gets trap in a yellow bubble and she starts to completely change. Her tail splits in two then transform into human legs. After the transformation was done, Ichigo is now a seventeen year old human girl with the same eyes, hairstyle. The bubble that had her trapped, pops and Ichigo lands on the ground.

Renji and Chad swims over to her and help her swim to the surface as fast as possible as Tier kept laughing.

Ichigo comes out to the surface and takes her first breath of air. She falls back into the water. Renji and Chad help her get to shallower water.

Ichigo looks up as the sun rose over the water. She is exhausted and still in pain.

That is so scary, luckily Renji and Chad saved her from Tier by bringing her to the surface. Next chapter is where Ichigo meets Toshiro.
