Chapter 19: A Fashionably Late Entrance

The people applauded as Asuma bowed in front of the people. Suddenly, everybody heard a knock at the door and Asuma gasped.

Yoshino laughed and said. “Asuma. All who were invited are present, are they not?”

Asuma, searched the invitations one at a time, as he said. “Well, yes, I mean, well.” Asuma gasped once more, when he heard a knock again.

“Open the door!” Yoshino said, before he calmed down. “Asuma.”

Asuma ran up the stairs, still shaking, as he said. “It’s the milkman, it must be the milkman.” But just, as he opened the door, he gasped in shock. This caught everybody's attention and Shikamaru smiled. It was Temari, wearing a black dress, but he didn't know it was actually Tenten in disguise. She winked at Asuma, who looked upset, before he said. “We’ll, it’s not the milkman.”

Yoshino watched ‘Temari’ walk down the stairs, as she said. “Oh! Oh no, it can’t be! Excuse me, pardon me, could you, please, I’ve got to get through. Oh oh, yes, she’s lovely, isn’t she? Queen coming through here, excuse me excuse me.” She watched ‘Temari’ before she made her way over to Jiraiya and said. “Jiraiya! Jiraiya, who is it? Do you know her?”

“I don’t know.” Jiraiya replied.

“Come now, Jiraiya,” Yoshino said, “I know he confides in you. Who is it?”

“I promise I’ve never seen her before.” Jiraiya said, before a thought occurred to him. “Although she does look a great deal like…”

“But it couldn’t be… Could it?” Yoshino wondered.

“Oh, I was so worried…” Shikamaru said, once “Temari’ approached him. “I almost thought…”

“Nothing could keep me away.” ‘Temari’ replied.

Shikamaru snapped his fingers, before he and ‘Temari’ began to dance.
