Chapter 2: Zane Loses His Queen

Zane and Jesse broke the kiss and looked at each other, holding hands.

“Arrange the marriage!” Zane said.

Everyone is cheering happily, that Dorothy and Sheppard’s plan had worked. Zane and Jesse’s marriage will now result in the new king and queen.

Jesse looked around. She wasn’t sure, if she wants to go thought this. She loves Zane with all her heart. The conductor conducted the musicians, but, Jesse on the other hand, didn't look happy.

“Wait!” she said.

Everyone immediately stopped what they were doing, gasped, and stared at Jesse in shock.

“What? You’re all I ever wanted.” Zane said. “You’re beautiful!”

“Thank you.” Jesse said, with a blush. “But what else?”

“What else?” asked Zane, confused.

“Is beauty all that matters to you?” asked Jesse.

Sheppard cleared his throat and shook his head at Jesse.

“Zane... What else?” Dorothy asked, expectantly, with a smile.

Zane looked around at the people and at Jesse.

“I, uh… What else is there?” he said.

Crowler stuck his thumb down and imitated a game show buzzer, while Dorothy and Sheppard gasped and looked at each other in shock at what Zane had said.

Jesse sighed, sadly, looking very upset, because Zane didn't say anything else about her.
