Chapter 8: Toshiro is saved

Ichigo is shocked and swims freely to find Toshiro. The 17 year old mermaid looks on her left and sees Toshiro (whose outfit looked tattered) floats on a raft-like piece of wood. His raft than tips on a raft-like piece of wood. Ichigo dives in and grabs him and holds onto him as she brought him to safety.

The next day, Ichigo lies next to Toshiro’s unconscious body. Uryu came over them.

Ichigo looks at him.

“Is he... dead?” She asked.

Uryu opens one eyelid and closes it.

“It is difficult to say.” He said.

Uryu goes to his foot and listens to it.

“I couldn’t hear a heartbeat.” He said.

Toshiro started to breath, but hasn’t waked up.

“No, wait! He is breathing. He is so handsome.” Ichigo said in relief.

She stroke Toshiro’s hair and she began to sing.

“What would I give?
To live where you are?
What would I pay?
To stay here beside you?”

Renji and Chad are washed up on the shore and they look up at Ichigo.

“What would I do to see you?
 Smiling at me?”

Renji sees Ichigo next to Toshiro, stares for a minute and his jaw drops open as far it could, Uryu closes it for him.

“Where would we walk?
 Where would we run?
 If we could stay all day in the sun.
 Just you and me.”

Toshiro starts to open his eyes and wakes up and sees Ichigo, looks over him. Although Toshiro just woke up and the sun was burning, he can’t see Ichigo clearly, but just a blur until it cleared. He smiles, because he knows a girl was singing to him.

“And I could be.
Part of your world.”

Ichigo heard someone calling the prince, Kon runs to Ichigo’s direction.

“Toshiro!” A familiar voice called.

Kon came to Toshiro which was struggling to get up and licks his cheek and looks back towards Ichigo dives back to the water.

“Toshiro!” A familiar voice called.

Yamamoto runs up to Toshiro and helps him to his feet. His outfit looks pretty tattered as well.

“Oh Toshiro! You had me worried on my blood pressure, don't you?” Yamamoto asked in concern.

Toshiro continues to look around.

“A girl has saved me. She was singing, she has an incredibly voice.” He told Yamamoto.

Toshiro’s knees gives away. Yamamoto caught him.

“Ah, Toshiro, I would say that you had been swallowing way too much seawater. Let’s go.” Yamamoto said.

He turns towards Kon was looking towards the sea.

“Come on, Kon.” Yamamoto said.

Toshiro, Yamamoto and Kon walking up to the castle.

Meanwhile, Ichigo and the others watch the entire thing from behind the rocks.

“We must forget that the whole thing ever happened. The sea king should not know.” Renji explained. “You would not tell him, I wouldn’t tell him. I would stay in one piece.”

Ichigo continues eyeing Toshiro as she concluded her song.

“I don't know when?
I don't know how?
But I know something’s starting right now.
Watch and you'll see.
Someday I'll be.
Part of your world.”

The waves crash behind her as she deeply, wishes with all her heart to be a human and join Toshiro on land.

Meanwhile Ulquiorra and Grimmjow watching the whole thing.

Meanwhile, Tier is watching the entire thing in her lair from her apprentices' point of view as well. She then laughed.

“Oh, no, no, no, no, no, no. I couldn’t stand it it’s too easy. This child has fallen in love with a human. And not just any human - a prince! Her dad would love that. King Isshin’s headstrong, lovesick girl will make a charming addition to my little garden.” Tier said in sarcasm/smirk.

She looks around with an evil grin.

In the entrance of the cave, a bunch of plant-like creatures were trembling, once they had been merpeople who came to Tier for help, but they could never pay the price so Tier cursed them.

Tier laughs as she imagines Ichigo and Isshin as two of these things. The creatures shivered in fear.

What a beautiful song, love it so much. Next chapter is where it will be a musical.
