Chapter 8: With the Toads
Somewhere over the waterfalls and beyond the meadow was the Vale of Fairies. Right now, Kiba had just finished explaining everything to Jiraiya and Tsunade.
“Oh, Kiba my sunshine.” Tsunade said. “First you buzzed in here the other day on that wretched thing and announced in front of the entire court that you’d found the girl of your dreams. And now you’ve come back to say that she’s vanished?”
“Kidnapped, mother,” Kiba corrected her, “she’s been kidnapped!”
“You’re joking!” Tsunade said.
“Tsunade.” Jiraiya said.
“Look father,” Kiba said, “please delay the winter frost for as long as you can. I need time to find Hinata.”
He quickly ran over to Lee, as Tsunade said. “Kiba!”
Kiba mounted Lee, as he said. “Don’t worry mother, I’ll be back!”
“Kiba!” Both Jiraiya and Tsunade yelled.
“I’ll find her!” Kiba cried, as he flew off to find Hinata.
“Oh my poor boy.” Tsunade said. “Jiraiya my love, we can’t delay the frost for more than a day.”
As she said that, she and Jiraiya then worriedly stared in the direction Kiba had gone, hoping he'd find Hinata before then.
Back at the boat, Neji was twirling his wing in the pond, bored and despondent, until Gaara and Sasuke showed up.
“Hey, bro?” Sasuke said.
“Go away.” Neji said in annoyance.
“Pond talk say Hinata gave you the slip and is gonna marry a fairy prince.” Sasuke said.
That caught Neji’s attention. “What fairy prince?”
Sasuke laughed, as he said. “Oh hoho, you not be able to show your ugly face on the stage no more.”
“Everybody laugh at you.” Gaara agreed.
“Nobody laugh.” Neji said angrily, but both Sasuke and Gaara began laughing. “I said, nobody laugh.” Sasuke and Gaara continued laughing anyway. “I go get Hinata and bring her back.” Sasuke and Gaara continued laughing, until Neji, annoyed with them, grabbed them by their suits, flew high up into the air, and dropped them into the pond.
Neji then yelled. “I marry her!” Then he went on his way with Sasuke and Gaara still laughing.
